two pastas by 10:30am

farfalle with mozzarella and tomatoesWith the crazy heat in the New York City area this summer, I haven't been blogging very much because I haven't been cooking very much. Finally, some relief. I'll try to catch up because of course I've been eating some cool food (and doing a little cooking too). First up, I made two kinds of pasta before 10:30am yesterday. All of you crazy foodies know what I'm talking about -- baking/cooking marathons. I read about them on your blogs all the time. I had to make a dish for a potluck, and I needed to make something for dinner tomorrow night too. First up, a yummy farfalle with fresh mozz, tomatoes, basil, and garlic. I'd say it was pretty straightforward, except that I jazzed it up with this awesome Fig & Balsamic Vinegar from Carter & Cavero that I'd bought at the Limelight Marketplace. Mmmmmm.broccoli rabe & sausage pastaNext I made that awesome broccoli rabe and sausage pasta again. I'm totally addicted to this stuff now. I wish Allison Fishman's cookbook was out already, but we'll have to wait until Spring 2011.
