behind the scenes with chicken -- and a giveaway

Mr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookNote: This drawing is now closed. Mr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken by Lorraine Wallace is just hitting stores this week. As you can probably guess, it's almost all chicken recipes (she's got about 30 side dishes too), for every possible season, event, or night of the week -- recipes the whole family will enjoy. It's the follow-up to the New York Times best-selling Mr. Sunday's Soups. I thought you'd enjoy seeing behind the scenes at the photoshoot which took place last Fall. Mind you these are just my own snapshots. Alexandra Grablewski took the real photos, and I urge you to check out the actual cookbook to see her gorgeous work.propspropsMartha Bernabe did the prop styling -- it's always a pleasure working with her. I'm convinced she's a bit camera shy because I had a hard time getting a photo of her in action, but I'll catch a shot of her eventually.Mr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookBrian Preston-CampbellSpeaking of food styling, that's Brian Preston-Campbell doing the honors -- he's a great guy to work with and a very skilled stylist. You can check out the recipe for those chicken sate skewers here, by the way. Below is a preview of some more of the photos -- again, just snapshots by me from behind the scenes.Mr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookIf you're curious to try out the Buffalo wings recipe (like I know you are), here you go.Mr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookMr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookMr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookMr. Sunday's Saturday Night Chicken cookbookGasp, I love how that pie looks.
